Idealistic, Austere, Tired

About
Age: 47
Race: Garlean
Height:
Body type: willowy, fitOccupation: former chief officer within the IInd legion; currently... lost in life
Hobbies: jogging, training, work, work, work, but also, SLEEP
Likes: structure, routine, confidence, people who own up to mistakes, sweaters/knitted fabrics, a good pair of boots
Dislikes: poetry, bards, cowards, drunk and disorderly types, wet socks, interruptions, politics
Extra: third eye, many scars all over her body from years in the military, silvery streaks in her hair due to agingPersonality: A soldier born and bred, Narcissa has known little else but the military life. Routine is a comfort. A lack of familiarity doesn't bring anxiety, but it does bring a level of... displeasure. As such, she is often cranky, and may come off as rude. It's not generally a personal thing, but she's not particularly good at compartmentalizing. One might not notice when she's more comfortable, however. She doesn't intend to be stoic, but neither is she particularly expressive. The biggest tell that she's in a good mood is that she actually seems interested in what's going on around her.
Hooks
Garlemald Narcissa is always willing to speak with a fellow countryman, reminisce about 'simpler' times, or build new connections now that things are so uncertain.Soldiering on While she has no interest in 'lowering' herself to mercenary work, she is not opposed to protecting someone or something if she is convinced of the task's importance.Unlearning Narcissa believed in the ideals of Garlemald her entire life. Now that Garlemald has fallen, she is finding just how little she really knew of the world. One may find her often confused, or entirely unable to navigate a social situation due to her ignorance.Nap Enthusiast Anything's a bed if you're tired enough. And Narcissa is perpetually exhausted. One might find her dozing just about anywhere. Approach with caution!
25+ only OOC. 21+ IC is fine.
Real life and RP are not the same.
Long term or short term. I prefer pushing a story I can sink my teeth into, but I'm not opposed to 'popcorn' RP, either. And sometimes, people, characters, and/or writing styles just don't jive as well as we hoped. That's okay! Don't feel obligated to continue to RP if you're not feeling it.
While I don't hold strict rules about post matching, I do expect effort. That doesn't mean mult-para every time, but I need something to work with! This is not an invitation to info dump.
I enjoy the lore of FFXIV. I'm by no means an expert, but I prefer to abide by the lore as closely as I can. Lorebending is fine, as the lore that is available can be rather vague, but I prefer not to engage with lorebreaking characters.
Some examples of characters I prefer not to interact with: vampires, voidsent, ancients, overpowered characters, NPC characters (such as Scions, Cid, Ascians, etc), races that don't exist within the game (fox people, making au ra into dragons, that sort of thing). If this describes you, or bothers you, chances are we won't be compatible.
I also RP in Discord, but I would prefer to get to know you, first!
